In March 2024, an internal meeting was held with employees of Getliņi EKO as part of the ongoing CERITA project, Circular Economy at Riga and Tartu Waste Management Facilities. The purpose of the meeting was to provide an update on the project’s progress, clarify the expected outcomes, and outline the internal involvement required for successful implementation.
The session brought together employees from various departments, including accounting, technical support, communications, legal affairs, and others. Each team’s contribution was discussed in the context of the project’s broader goals of transforming waste management practices through the application of circular economy principles and advanced renewable energy technologies.
The workshop served to strengthen cross-departmental coordination within Getliņi EKO and ensured that all staff members are aligned with the project timeline and deliverables. It also highlighted the importance of integrating expertise across different units to support the adoption of new waste-to-energy solutions, including hydrogen and biomethane applications.
The CERITA project unites six partners from the Baltic States and the Netherlands and is 100% funded by the European Innovation Council and the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EISMEA). Implementation continues through 2024.
